Cauca, Colombia
Nougat • Mandarin • Chocolate Ganache
Processing: Washed
This delicious washed coffee is produced by a small community of growers in Inza, a region located on the western side of Cauca, with an average size of each farm being 0.5 to 1.5 hectares. The region is 80% inhabited by the indigenous group Paez (Nasa) and Guambianos (Misak).
This green lot was responsibly sourced by Cofinet together with Occicafe, a grassroots coffee co-op focused on improving the life and work conditions of the region’s small growers. The farmers own small parcels of land where they grow crops of Castillo and Caturra coffee at 1700 m.a.s.l.
The direct relationship between Cofinet and Occicafe allows a more thorough coffee quality control.
